I have 9 flowering pear trees,1 crabapple,1 honey locust,5 birch's,and 2 large evergreens on my property. The pear trees throw a beautiful spectacle every spring. My wife on the other would chop every tree down if she could.

False Alarm Door Knockers
it used to be that pioneers supported themselves with free literature and magazines and put in 100+ hours a month.
then 90, then 70.. a publisher had to put in at least an hour a month to be counted.
now 15 minutes.. they used to hand out a written review and collect it and grade it!
The dwindling contributions, teens running out the door, lawsuits, less interest in the message, the internet, and "the end" never coming has changed how the WTS do things. The lawyers run the show. Run it like a business. As business declines, spend less on operations. Sell off buildings, buy cheap paper, shrink books, move conventions further to save money, and try to lighten the load a little before all the members leave.
T hese are words that Elders have used to discribe me and my condition. I hate everyone of these words.

i was just thinking of all the things i did for the wts (a group of old men that live in new york whom i've never seen and never will) and what they gave me in return.. .
what i did for the wts :.
studied the ''truth book'' for 6 months just to get baptized.

What I did for the WTS :
Studied the ''Truth Book'' for 6 months just to get baptized
Went to 3 meetings per week for 30 years = 4680 meetings
Used thousands of gallons of gas to get to meetings, service
Purchased books,magazines,bibles
Traveled to numerous cities for assemblies......gas,hotel, and food expenses
What the WTS gave me in return:
i try to attend about 3 sunday meetings per month just to keep my whole family from disowning me.
every week the meetings become more difficult to attend.. the singing is awful, the prayers are all about the ''faithful and discreet slave''.the talks are boring and repetative.the watchtower study reminds of trained seals at the zoo where they do the same tricks over and over just so they can get their treat of fresh fish.
the answers are short and read off the watchtower magazine word for word.

It looks like the only time anyone comes alive is when the meeting ends and everyone can talk to family and friends.
Did there ever come a time where the meetings became unbearable? If you still attend, how do you feel while you sit and listen to all this bunk?
comments you will not hear at the 03-01-09 wt study (december 15, 2008, pages 16-20)(thorough witness).
review comments will be in red.

Blondie.......Great study as usual!
I attended yesterday's Watchtower meeting and found how dishonest the WTS really is.
In paragraph1,I found that if you read Acts:10:22,34-48 the apostles were ordered to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ not ordered to preach.
Then Peter said, 47 "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.
Also in your opening statement you asked:Why does the WTS reference only one outside source and why that one?
Paragraph 6 they reference one scholar (who had an extensive analsis of the Christian Greek Scriptures) that Paul went preaching "house to house". What didn't they name this scholar? MAYBE....JUST MAYBE.....there wasn't a real Scholar but just the writing department making it up.
Then in paragraph 11,they name a book written by David G. Stewart who states how Jehovah's Witnesses missionary work has proven to be more effective than abstract, theoretical(urgings from pulpits).
one way the wts use mind control:.
members are not allowed to question, criticize or complain -- if they do, the leaders allege that the member is defective - not the organization or the beliefs.. .
i found that you could never turn to anyone in the congregation to either question, criticize, or complain about something inside organization.
One way the WTS use mind control:
Members are not allowed to question, criticize or complain -- if they do, the leaders allege that the member is defective - not the organization or the beliefs.
I found that you could never turn to anyone in the congregation to either question, criticize, or complain about something inside organization. If you did question, criticize,or complain,it was you who was either spiritually weak, sinning, didn't go out in service enough, were missing too many meetings, materialistic, and had bad associations. And maybe it was you who was defective and not the organization.
Since joining JWN,I found that all JWN members can't have all these defects the WTS claims we have. Something happened in each of our lives to come to this forum. Some question, some complain, and some criticize but each person was under the mind control of the WTS.
I've learned that by the use of mind control the WTS will always exist.Only with this forum our voices are heard. This is our only way to speak.
there are close to 7 million baptised jehovah's witnesses in the world.
most start off real zealous in meeting attendance and preaching work.
some remain zealous but most cool off sooner or later.
There are close to 7 million baptised Jehovah's Witnesses in the world. Most start off real zealous in meeting attendance and preaching work. Some remain zealous but most cool off sooner or later. They become fence sitters(they live double lives) or just go thru -the- motions( they do the bare minimum). For some,it becomes a religious club where you meet and fellowship.
So my question is..........How many of these 7 million so called faithful Jehovah's Witnesses are still zealous....fence sitters...going thru-the-motions?
my mom, dad, uncles, aunts, and grandparents were all raised catholic.
they were all baptised and married in the catholic church.. one day in the early 1960's,a witness preached to my uncle.
he started a bible study and later had his immediate family join in.

One day in the early 1960's,a Witness preached to my uncle. He started a Bible study and later had his immediate family join in. He got baptized and started to preach to his sisters, brothers, parents, and friends. He became an Elder in the early 1960's and continues to this day. Today, there are over 25 family members who are baptised Jehovah's Witnesses. All of them are going strong except me. I'm the only one who is inactive. I now know that the teachings, beliefs, doctrines, and practices of the WTS are all false.
Who was the first person in your family to become a Witness? Who is still a member and who has dropped out?
